Get to know the volunteers who make up the Siegrist Elementary PTA. Together, we’re committed to supporting our students, teachers, and school community throughout the year.

Leanne Trimble, President

Hello! My name is Leanne Trimble. My husband, Ryan, and I have called Platte City home for 10 years; however, I grew up nearby in Weston. We have 2 kids attending Siegrist. Evan is in 5th grade and Reia is in 3rd grade. We spend most of our time watching and cheering on Evan and Reia. Evan plays baseball, archery, golf and basketball. Reia loves all things dance and tumbling. We love and envy the energy these kids bring every day! I work full time in FinTech Digital Product Management. In my spare time I am a gardener and baker. One of my favorite times of the year is bringing in fresh cut flowers from my garden to enjoy and share with friends and family. I am looking forward to a fantastic school year at Siegrist and working with fellow parents, teachers and staff to make this the best year yet.

Ashlea Costello, Vice President of Communications

Hi! My name is Ashlea Costello, and I have two children: Michael, a high school senior, and Eva, a 1st grader. I work full-time at Lockton, specializing in commercial insurance for healthcare organizations. In my spare time, I love to bake and run a small custom cake business. I’m excited to serve as one of the PTA Vice Presidents and look forward to another great year supporting our school, creating fun experiences for our students, while working alongside our amazing teachers, staff and families!

Tara Tubbesing, Vice President of Student Support

Hi! I’m Tara, and I’m excited to serve our school community through the PTA. My husband, Daniel, and I have lived in Platte City for over six years. My oldest daughter, Violet, is in 1st grade at Siegrist. She and her sister, Josie, keep us busy with their curiosity, energy, and activities. Professionally, I am a psychologist, and I enjoy using my experience in leadership, collaboration, problem-solving, and supporting Missouri citizens to give back to our school community. I’m passionate about helping every family feel welcome and connected, supporting our amazing teachers and staff, and creating opportunities that make our school an even more positive place for students to thrive. I look forward to working alongside fellow parents and school team members to make this a wonderful year for our children.

Alex Eggleston, Treasurer

Hello! My name is Alex Eggleston. My family has lived in Platte City since 2018. I have 2 children, Keira is in first grade, and Ellie will be starting pre-k this year. The girls are actively involved in dance, tumble, Girl Scouts, and t-ball. We’re frequently on walks with our dog trying to get their energy out! I am currently a stay-at-home mom with a part-time job in the Army Reserves. I love being able to volunteer at school and helping lead Mom Co in Platte City. I enjoy being out in nature when it’s not 100 degrees, reading, gardening, and baking. I am excited to be a part of the PTA and working with the school to improve it for our students and teachers!

Carla Lewis, Secretary

Hello, I am Carla Lewis. My family and I moved to Platte City from the east coast in 2020 and my daughter Penelope is a third grader at Siegrist. In addition to school, Penelope enjoys dance and participating in Girl Scouts. She loves art, playing with our pets and being outside. After working in the water distribution and engineering field for twenty years I am now a stay-at-home mom and have recently taken on a part-time personal assistant position. I love to volunteer in the community in my spare time, especially at the Platte City Community Garden. I also enjoy crocheting, reading, and practicing yoga with my daughter. I am excited to be a part of the PTA and look forward to helping out as much as I can.
